What better backdrop than a museum and Golden Gate Park to practice with the shutter eye? This is what she captured of our recent trip. A stroll down the Park, museum artifacts, and a stop at the Shakespeare Garden with the beautiful Cherry Blossoms!
I was excited to find a piece from El Salvador (where my family is from) I had to take a picture as evidence!
(My outfit for the day: Mango Alpaca Sweater, Zara hood knit dress, Topshop Jeans, Miss Sixty riding boots, H&M Scarf, Marc Jacobs Bag)
This painting reminded me of one of my first Still Drawings I painted in my beginners Painting Class one summer at Yale University. I learned a lot that summer about shading and 3-D real life form.
I LOVE FRUIT! Large Handblown Glass Fruit Platter
One of Miguel Covarrubias series of murals with a map of the world. I love this one, which depicts the different species of animals found around the globe. His artwork was political, which I like and definitely is worth checking out.
NZ Kiwi! I LOVE Kiwi's!
"THE FAUNA AND FLORA of the PACIFIC"
Another one of my favorite mediums: Printmaking. This large woodcut had some neat engravings. (Left is the Print, Right is the actual Woodcut)
Dali Inspiration?
The lovely James Dean!
