But as the NINER's themselves put it: "ONE TEAM, ONE LOSS"
In the end I must say watching live in-person the NFC Championship game at Candlestick Park, Niners vs. NY Giants this past Sunday 1/22/12, was one of the most adrenaline rush experiences I've lived in my years here. I have always been a 49er FAITHFUL since the 80's, the Joe Montana days. And to witness it live in my 20's and have the opportunity to see my team make it this far in the season, along with a NFL rookie coach, Harbaugh and shutting up all the football analyst/critics who didn't believe in them. I am extremely PROUD of my NINERS.
The 20-17 final score from Sunday, which should've easily been our win and ticket to the Superbowl hurts, it tingles inside because we were 3 points from making it to the Championship and everything each player works towards season after season. I have my own opinions of what could have been done or how skewed the referees calls were towards handing the win to the NY Giants, but that will not change the fact that they are not on their way to Indy on February 5th, 2012 for Superbowl XLVI. So heres to a GREAT E'ffin Season and I look forward to many more. I've been a Season Ticket holder and learned my lesson this year when I didn't get my season tickets. BIG MISTAKE but never once did I doubt my team. With the right Coach and the right motivation, Niners went all the way so I want to say Thanks Niners, Thanks Alex Smith, Thanks Vernon Davis for the Classic coined "Catch 3" vs. The Saints that I also witnessed, and Thanks Coach Harbaugh!
I told my friend, this is why I hate sports, you put your heart on that field only for it to be broken into pieces when your team looses. Epecially at such an important match like the NFC Championship. That is just the way the game goes.
