Escape to Nuuu York

So I had the urge to re-discover the "BIG CITY," New York this past month, where I lived for school back in 2006 and may I add fell in love with every second of it. It was my home-away-from-home. And somehow with my livid adventure-seeking nature I made it happen together with my partner in crime. AKA. THE SUSYNESS. We both traveled to the East Coast, (her first time ever in NYC btw) as a complete surprise to our dear friend Esther, "EJ," who has made the BIG CITY her new home in the last year. This was definitely a last-minute trip and an unexpected surprise for EJ. It was hard not to spoil the surprise but we made it happen =)

Nonetheless, re-tracing familiar footsteps, visiting old friends, hopping on the subway, doing touristy stuff (like visiting Times Square), and getting a taste of some of New York's best hidden foods. It turned out to be a fun-filled weekend despite some rain at the beginning of my trip. I realized I missed New York, and I must visit at least once a year. My last trip had been in 2008 during the spring when the weather wasn't humid yet, but with loved friends luring me back into the Big City, who knows, I might just have to make the move. Wink, wink ;-) Well, not anytime soon, but I definitely planned on making New York part of my 2010 adventures and I'm happy to have escaped there for a quick-getaway. The city definitely is a Concrete Jungle where dreams are made of....
