Fridays are meant for a DO-SA fun!

Friday's aren't only the beginning of the weekend but a time for celebration, and what better way to party than with your fellow ladies. Since it was long overdue, nothing beats a Girl's Night Out

First Stop:
Dinner at Dosa @Valencia, South Indian cuisine in the Mission. I've been on a Indian eating frenzy lately. I recently discovered one of their street foods, Kati Rolls, at another local dinner. I realized I had deprived myself of such goodness and spices that Indian cuisine is all about. We were trying to take advantage of the "Dine About Town SF" 4-course $34.95 special happening this week, but decided it would be too much food for each of us, and with the 3 different dishes we ordered, it was more than enough food to feed my appetite.

We decided on Dahi Vada as a starter. Which consisted of: Lentil dumplings, topped with cool Straus organic yogurt, piped with tamarind & mint, mildly spiced. This dish was sooo good and a masterpiece to eat. It was carefully crafted with a intricate design made out of the yogurt at the top, I couldn't contain myself and forgot to take a picture. Oops ;-)

As a main course we chose their specialty, a DOSA, which is similar to a crepe, with your choice of fillings. The choices are endless but beware. When they say spicy, they mean it! I had to learn this the hard way. Each Dosa is served with a tomato & fresh coconut chutney, and sambar, a flavorful lentil dipping soup made with vegetables and spices. All of this is meant for dipping and using your hands to eat. So dig right in! I did!

Our Dosa choice was the Spicy Mung Masala Mung , a lentil dosa with green chiles, chopped onions, cilantro and spiced potatoes. The spiced potatoes are what overdid the "spicy" for me. So a lot of water and a glass of White Wine, Albariño from Montecillo, Spain cured the spicyness for me. The wine had a pleasant citrus aroma to it.

And finally, we finished our meal with the Tamil Lamb Curry, topped with fennel, tomatoes, poppy seeds, caramelized onions & spices with a side of Coconut Rice. Delicious! Hmm...

After Dinner, it was definitely time to hit the Club @ Ruby Skye & Slide, with my other two fair ladies to burn off the meal.

It definitely was a memorable night. Cheers to Us! And to another Ladies Night!

Bathroom shot!

With my ladies, somehow we all color co-ordinated our outfits without knowing it ;-)
