Ready for Alice

Just in time for the Alice in Wonderland 3-D movie release this Friday. I recently painted my nails in OPI's Absolutely Alice! Which, I recently blogged about ;-) I think I am going to skip the mad rush of lines this Friday and instead opt for a more peaceful (I'm hoping) Sunday evening screening. I'm excited that they'll be showing it at the Castro Theater, where I saw MILK last about San Francisco's very own, Harvey Milk. One thing I LOVE about this theater is their very own real-time old organ at the front of the theater. Props to the organ player for entertaining before every show!

For the release of such an imaginary and whimsical movie, by the way I'm a big fan of all Tim Burton film's, every one from fashion to jewelry to makeup has jumped on the bandwagon for everything Alice! Here are just some of my favorite Alice picks. Will you be catching the movie this coming weekend?

Nails Glittering in Absolutely Alice!
In order to get the perfect coating. My usual Nail Step-by-Step procedure goes like this:
  1. Buff and File Nails
  2. Base Coat of Nailtek Nail Strengthener (Find at your Local Convenience Store) -or- Nailtique ( funny story behind this product that I heard from one of my nail ladies is that it used to be owned by a married couple but when they divorced he started his own line, how typical?)
  3. Apply 2-3 even coats of Polish (let it dry in between)
  4. Finish off with Seche Vite Top Coat (the best Quick Dry out there)
  5. Done. Now let your nails do the talking
