You've got Mail!

It's always nice to get packages in the mail. It's like being a child on Christmas Eve waiting to open your presents at the strike of midnight. Well that is the same feeling I have been going through with my recent purchases. After getting addicted to all the online retail websites that offer designer goods for a fraction of the cost. These first-come-first-serve, invite-only, two day sales are my new mode of shopping. Not to mention the credits you get for referring new customers after their first purchase. It was my little secret- until now that I am sharing it with you! Some of my favorite websites include:
  • Gilt My #1 Online Shopping Destination. The website is broken down into three general stores: Gilt, GiltFuse, Gilt Man + the Jet-setter (for your exotic vacation indulgences via la high life), the best part about this site is that I can find Alexander Wang pieces for half the price!
  • RueLaLa French is the first word that comes to mind, but don't be fooled. RueLaLa offers some of the best deals in town. They have a wide variety of brands for different needs.I love their selection of Rebecca Minkoff handbags, BCBG shoes, Chloe sunglasses, the list goes on.
  • Hautelook A more affordable website. They sell an array of makeup, jewels, accessories and denim. Not to mention cute baby clothes for those expecting!
  • Beyond the Rack Reminds me of Hautelook but definitely worth checking out. You can find name brand makeup and everything facial/spa items like Laura Mercier and GoSmile teeth whitening treatment.
  • Ideeli The famous Christian Louboutin black stiletto ad everywhere on my facebook finally made me succumb to signing up. And yes they have some of the best selections. I like their shoe selections like Kelsi Dagger or Pour La Victorie.
  • The Sample Sale This is one of the newest additions to the online retail quick shops, but so far only Ed Hardy is being sold. GAG =X I'm waiting for them to expand on their sale selections!
  • Rent The Runway I haven't tried it yet but just like the name entails, You can find some of the Red Carpet dresses you've been longing for and rent them for a day. I am intrigued to rent a Herve Leger dress for a special occasion in the near future. Or a Proenza Schoeler!
  • Retail Me Not This is not a retail shop but it's a Coupon/Sale Alert for all retail cyber shops. Worth taking a look at before you press the "PURCHASE" button on your next online shopping venture!
I have to admit that I have given up shopping  for non-consumable items + not eating red meat for LENT. The truth is sad and disappointing. I have failed miserably, as I binged on meat this past week thanks to my beautiful friend Karina who is fond of Medium-Rare meat and visited me this past week from LA. (It's okay I know it's out of love) Hehe. But I also have been tempted time and time again to buy a new shirt or dress since spring is almost here. So to makeup for it I have agreed to penalize myself by adding a day past Easter  for everyday I have broken lent. I know that it's against what Lent is supposed to represent but I liked to think that I can do it. A girl can only go so many days without a new pair of knickers and leather boots, that is my test. Here is a collection of some of my recent and not-so-recent purchases. And if you haven't done so yet, go checkout these websites now that my secret is out...Go! What are you waiting for..... Time is ticking and those Seven Jeans are just one click away!

  1. all of those websites are EVIL and I am proud of us for avoiding them even though I don't believe in Lent.
